2002 Cluckbuckie of the Year, Tony "Gome" FrierdichThe votes have been tallied, re-tallied, and tallied yet again, and while we can't believe our eyes, we are ironically both smashingly pleased and utterly disappointed to report that the Cluckbuckie of the Year for 2002 is Tony "Gome" Frierdich.
Mr. Frierdich is a born resident of Waterloo, IL and while we won't openly hold that against him, we will hold against him the fact that he still lives there. Nonetheless, over the past year, Gome has displayed his uncanny skill for selecting and reporting on chicken wing restaurants by posting wing joint reviews from over five states to the Internet Hot Wing Database. This fact, combined with the altruistic acts of heroism that Gome displayed in the "Great Wing Massacre of Brooklyn, IL" were more than enough to push him above the others in the running. Tony Frierdich, a genius with food additives, a saint with the children, and a man who truly describes "grace under pressure". To see Mr. Frierdich in person (along with the Vanilla Gorilla), please go to Hammerstones in Soulard (St. Louis, MO) on Tuesday, February 25 at 7:00 PM where they will compete in the 1st Annual Soulard Mardi Gras Hot Wing Eating Competition.
